Purring, soothing, your whispers run deep
in the kindest breath I’ve ever known;
etherial realms, unto my soul, your grace has sewn.

I listen to you when you sleep
and pray my life your breath to keep;
I wish my hands would never leave
this side of you that I receive.

I listen to all you have to say,
I listen to things I do not hear during the day.
I listen to your dreams, your goals,
I listen, basking in noise colouring my skin with poise.
Your hopes are children of today,
the night opens their minds, just to betray
A light so fine I come to hear
Your voice, your tone and truth so clear!

The truth: I wait for night to come
The sandman paint your thoughts undone
